Due to the expiration of a temporary state law allowing public bodies to meet virtually, City Councilors will again conduct their meetings in person while wearing masks and staying six feet apart. To protect members of the public, Councilors and staff from unwarranted exposure to viruses, presenters and staff will attend by videoconferencing and teleconferencing via GoToMeeting, an online meeting and web conferencing tool. Anyone wanting to attend the meeting in person must have their temperature checked and wear a mask when entering City Hall.
To provide for public input while observing social distancing, except when required by law, the Council will only take public comment on specific agenda items via email and phone. Interested citizens can email comments on a 5:00 p.m. regular Council agenda item to firstname.lastname@example.org or call and leave a message at 918-596-1976. Comments will still be limited to five minutes total for all items on the agenda. Agendas are typically posted before close of business on Fridays. Public comments must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday immediately before the Council’s regular Wednesday meeting or they will not be included as part of the Council’s meeting. In the case of a Public Hearing, comments will be taken in person at the meeting. Members of the public who prefer to submit comments remotely during the Public Hearing for Agenda item 3a may do so via videoconferencing and teleconferencing by joining from a computer, tablet or smartphone, using the information at the top of the agenda.
