City Hall, Facilities to Close for Christmas & New Year's; Trash Schedules Not Affected

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Friday, Dec.
23, through Monday, Dec. 26, for the Christmas holiday, and Sunday
and Monday, Jan. 1-2, for the New Year's holiday.
Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will
operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or
sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers:
water - (918) 596-9488, and sewer - (918) 586-6999.
Because both Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on Sundays
this year and Sunday is not a trash collection day, trash and
recycling collection schedules will not be affected. Twice-a-week
customers whose trash is picked up on Wednesday and Saturday will
receive regular service on Christmas Eve - Dec. 24, and New Year's
Eve - Dec. 31.
The City's mulch site at 2100 N. 145th E. Ave. will be closed
Dec. 23-26 and Jan. 1. On Jan. 2, it will resume its usual schedule
of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, excluding City
The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave.,
will be open regular hours - noon to 6 p.m. - on Dec. 23, and
regular hours - noon to 4 p.m. - on Dec. 24. The shelter will be
closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1-2. Tulsa Animal Welfare field services
will be closed Dec. 23-26. Animal Welfare will resume normal hours
Dec. 27-31, and again on Jan. 3 - noon to 6 p.m. weekdays, noon to
4 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday.
Oxley Nature Center's visitor center will be closed Dec. 24-25
and Jan. 1, but the trails will be open on those days. Oxley
visitor center and trails will be open on Dec. 23, Dec. 26, and
Jan. 2. Redbud Valley Nature Preserve trails and restroom will be
open Dec. 23; however the visitor center will be closed. Redbud
Valley trails, restroom and visitor center will be closed Dec.
24-27, and Jan. 1-3.
Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open Dec. 24
and Dec. 31, but closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Tulsa Zoo will be
closed Dec. 25, but open on Dec. 24, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Gilcrease Museum will be open Dec. 24, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1, but
closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 2. Tulsa Performing Arts Center offices
will be closed Dec. 23-26 and Jan. 1-2. Stage performances will be
held as scheduled. Ticket sales will be open through
Tulsa Transit will provide Saturday level service on Dec. 24,
with the call center closing at 7 p.m.; and Saturday level service
on Dec. 31. Bus service will not operate Dec. 25-26, with regular
service resuming on Dec. 27. Bus service will not operate Jan. 1-2,
with regular service resuming on Jan. 3.
