Tulsa Transit to Offer Discounted Fares to All Active Duty Military Personnel and Veterans

The Tulsa City Council and Tulsa Transit are honored to announce half and discounted fares on Fixed Route and Nightline buses for all active duty military personnel and veterans who show a Tulsa Transit Military Reduced Fare Photo ID Card beginning Thursday, Jan. 29.

Cardholders will pay $0.85 for the regular fare or $0.75 for the one-way/one bus discounted fare. The reduced fare is offered when a Tulsa Transit Military Reduced Fare Photo ID Card is shown to the bus operator with fare payment.

During a special introductory period (Jan. 29 - Feb. 12), active duty military personnel and veterans can receive a free Tulsa Transit Military Reduced Fare Photo ID Card on designated dates at various agencies serving military personnel or veterans.  Tulsa Transit will make photo IDs at the following locations:

Beginning Monday, February 16, photo ID cards will be available at the Denver Avenue Station (DAS), 319 S. Denver Ave. for just $1.00. DAS is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To obtain a Tulsa Transit Military Reduced Fare Photo ID Card, the following identification will be required:

  • Active duty military personnel must present a current federal issued military identification card.
  • Veterans who were honorably discharged from the United States armed forces must present identification from a recognized veteran's organization or a state-issued identification indicating veteran status.

If the identification presented does not include a photo, another form of identification with a photo must be shown so Tulsa Transit personnel can match the name on the identification with the applicant. All Tulsa Transit Military Reduced Fare Photo ID Cards expire after four years and must be renewed.
