City Offices to Close Jan. 1 for New Year's Day

City of Tulsa offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, for New Year's Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water - (918) 596-9488, and sewer - (918) 586-6999.

On Friday, Jan. 1, there will be no residential refuse, recycling, yard waste or bulky waste collection. Many customers will experience a change in their collection day(s), according to the following schedule:

For customers with once-a-week collection services, Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. For customers with twice-a-week collection services, Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Tuesday and Saturday.

The City's greenwaste disposal site, 2100 N. 145th E. Ave., will be closed Friday, Jan. 1, and Sunday, Jan. 3. It will be open on Saturday, Jan. 2. The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be closed Friday, Jan. 1.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed Friday, Jan. 1. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be closed on Friday, Jan. 1. The Tulsa Zoo will be open on Friday, Jan. 1.

Gilcrease Museum will be open on Friday, Jan. 1. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center will be closed on Friday, Jan. 1; however, ticket sales will be open through MyTicketOffice.com.

Tulsa Transit will not operate bus service on Friday, Jan. 1. All services will operate on a regular weekday schedule on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31.
